Climate Fresco Workshop at Château Montebello: Raising Awareness about Sustainable Tourism

CONTEXT

Château Montebello, an iconic establishment in Quebec, wishes to strengthen its sustainable development practices. Faced with the growing challenges of climate change, the management team decided to offer interactive training to its employees to better understand the impact of climate on their tourism operations.

APPROACH

Touriscope led a workshop “The Climate Fresco”, a fun educational tool that allows participants to co-construct a mural illustrating the causes and consequences of climate change. The aim was to encourage collective thinking and to inspire concrete actions within the company. The session allowed the team to learn the key concepts of climate change and to discuss the direct and indirect impacts on the tourism industry and more specifically in their environment at Château Montebello.

RESULTS

The discussions were rich and prompted profound reflections within the team. Participants showed a real interest in adopting more sustainable practices in their respective departments. Château Montebello is now better prepared to integrate ecological initiatives into its daily activities, with a renewed commitment to sustainable tourism.
