We are looking for an experienced Tourism Development Consultant to join our dynamic team and help us take the next step in our growth. The ideal person is passionate about tourism, has an interest in sustainable development, has intrapreneurial skills, is highly independent and wants to be part of our team of Girl Scouts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development of strategies and action plans for customers, applying innovative methods adapted to each client
- Realization of diagnoses and strategic reflections
- Facilitation of participatory workshops to encourage collaboration, identify needs, and promote the engagement of participants
- Coaching and collaborating to conduct in-depth research and analysis to inform strategic decisions
- Writing various reports, files and summaries
- Supervision of internal and external resources involved in projects
- Support to customers in the implementation of their operational strategy
- Personalized support for tourism businesses in their projects
- Development of research methodologies adapted to projects
- Managing customer accounts and maintaining strong relationships with partners
- Writing proposals
- Development of research methodologies adapted to projects
- Maintaining and developing relationships with customers to ensure their continued satisfaction
- Enrichment of Touriscope's current service offering by integrating complementary expertise
- Active participation in internal shared governance projects within Touriscope
- Any other related tasks requested as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (tourism, business, management, etc.), a master's degree is an asset
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tourism, territorial and/or community development with proven experience in studies, strategy, and business support
- Knowledge of the Canadian and international tourism ecosystem with an understanding of territorial jurisdictions, particularly Eastern Canada
- Perfect bilingualism in French and English (written and oral)
- Ability to manage and supervise a team of professionals
- Mastery of the Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and computer collaboration tools (Zoom, Meet, Google Drive, etc.)
- Valid driver's license, occasional trips required
